Concr\u00e9tion de silicates, terres et autres r\u00e9sidus min\u00e9raux qui s\u2019amalgament, elles forment des paysages trouv\u00e9s. Au classement en listes, types et genres picturaux acad\u00e9miques, Marine Wallon dit \u00ab chercher ailleurs des stimuli \u00bb, cet ailleurs c\u2019est l\u2019imaginaire du cin\u00e9ma. Le photographique, la pellicule (petite peau), les filtres de Google Street View, Google Images, les cropping et clipping du flux tendu des images diffus\u00e9es semblent avoir infiltr\u00e9 les mani\u00e8res de voir et mani\u00e8re de faire peinture.&nbsp;<br>Le zooming-dezooming, la plong\u00e9e\/contre-plong\u00e9e, le cadrage sont des modes op\u00e9ratoires de la cam\u00e9ra qu\u2019emprunte Marine Wallon. Captures d\u2019\u00e9cran, recadrage, impression, peinture : une s\u00e9rie d\u2019actions qui rel\u00e8vent du processus de cet autre art du temps qu\u2019est le cin\u00e9ma. Les petits personnages isol\u00e9s en vue d\u2019oiseau (<em>Herradura<\/em>, 2022), souvent de dessous, de dos, dont le visage est cach\u00e9, sont des arch\u00e9types qu\u2019on ne reconna\u00eet pas pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment. On les ressent de mani\u00e8re fugitive, presque comme un r\u00e9flexe. C\u2019est une peinture qui va vite. Un peu comme l\u2019effet \u00ab flicker \u00bb du cin\u00e9ma dit exp\u00e9rimental de Stan Brakhage. La nature des peintures, la nature dans la peinture, est celle \u00ab vue au cin\u00e9ma \u00bb et filtr\u00e9e par un r\u00e9pertoire d\u2019images trouv\u00e9es. Marine Wallon peint non pas d\u2019apr\u00e8s nature, mais \u00e0 partir du fonds d\u2019images commun de nos ordinateurs. Si elle a une r\u00e9elle exp\u00e9rience des paysages, notamment des d\u00e9serts am\u00e9ricains, Marine Wallon les reconstruit sur toile.&nbsp;<br>Au contraire de C\u00e9zanne proposant de faire \u00ab du Poussin sur nature \u00bb, l\u2019artiste r\u00e9siste \u00e0 l\u2019id\u00e9e de nature, qui est une invention, et nous renvoie des vues d\u2019humains du point de vue des plantes (<em>Mantegazzia<\/em>, 2020). Une tension s\u2019op\u00e8re entre le coup de brosse, large et oblique qui d\u00e9finit une immensit\u00e9, et les figures. Les titres, seuls, les situent. (\u2026)&nbsp;<br><br>C\u2019est avec le cin\u00e9ma et la photographie que son art a le plus d\u2019accointance, \u00e9videmment le western am\u00e9ricain mais aussi le cin\u00e9ma cor\u00e9en et japonais. Dans ses peintures, il n\u2019y a plus de perspective albertienne, on entre dans une surface abstraite, on s\u2019y cogne m\u00eame. Comme dans certains films d\u2019Alfred Hitchcock (Vertigo), ou d\u2019Henri-Georges Clouzot (<em>L\u2019enfer<\/em>), la camera tourne et nous d\u00e9stabilise dans un espace onirique. Les tableaux de Marine Wallon sont partag\u00e9s en deux ou trois paries, trait\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re diff\u00e9rente, mati\u00e8re lisse ou tourment\u00e9e, fine ou \u00e9paisse, rapide ou appliqu\u00e9e. Ainsi, dans la peinture <em>Herradura<\/em>, le rouge \u00e9pais, bross\u00e9, s\u2019\u00e9tend sur la toile et s\u2019oppose au triangle vert plus fluide. La mati\u00e8re vivement \u00e9tal\u00e9e sur la toile sugg\u00e8re une composition abstraite sauf qu\u2019un petit cavalier traverse l\u2019espace, la faisant basculer soudain en un paysage incandescent.&nbsp;<br>Les outils qu\u2019utilise l\u2019artiste sont des spatules, racloirs, brosses, chiffons, sugg\u00e9rant la mati\u00e8re m\u00eame d\u2019un sol, de rochers ou de plantes (<em>Mantegazzia<\/em>), gr\u00e2ce au rendu de la mati\u00e8re picturale \u00e0 l\u2019instar de Gustave Courbet peignant les roches de ses recul\u00e9es du Jura au couteau.
